We’ve had the following message from thos co-ordinating the KAH collections for Ukraine:
As we begin another school week, we wanted to take the time to send you a message of thanks for the support that your school community have shown to the people of Ukraine.
As of Saturday night, 8 HGV lorries have been sent to the Ukraine full with donations from all across Kent. We are fortunate that our lorries are currently getting directly into the Ukraine to those that need it more. Many aid vehicles are only allowed as far as Poland/the boarders.
On behalf of all the team at Bigjigs/Kent Help for Ukraine, please pass on our sincere thanks to your pupils, parents, staff and wider community for their tremendous effort in providing aid for those families in Ukraine. We look forward to continuing to support this project in the weeks ahead.

A successful week from 7th-11th March 2022 with a range of Career-related activities taking place. Our Year 7 students enjoyed accessing the online virtual Careers Fair platform in their PPS lessons. On Wednesday we held our annual Exhibition Fair in the hall/quad where over 40 stands represented businesses and higher education providers. Students from Year 8 to 13 spent an hour exploring the different career and education providers, many very informative conversations were had and students engaged so well, making use of the opportunities to speak to professionals from many different industries.
Thank you to the organisations that attended on the day: Mears, On Architecture, WW Martin, London Institute of Banking and Finance, Lloyds Bank, Mercy Ships, Broadstairs College, Canterbury Christ Church University, Blaze Signs, UCA, Fashion, RDDS Avionics, Summit Aviation, Barretts Motor Group, Caremark Thanet, NHS, Hair Station Academy, Your Leisure, 2gether Support Solutions, Inclusive Sport, Briar House Veterinary Surgery, Kent Law Society, Canterbury Combined Law Courts, RAF, Kent Police, Royal Navy, Army, Cyberfort, Thanet Earth, EBP Kent — Careers
Year 12 attended workshops and took part in mock interviews which was really beneficial preparation for their next steps.
Other Career-related activities included an apprenticeship focus day, a subject-specific careers focus day and also students watched a number of videos from staff/ex-students/the local community regarding their own career journeys. To watch the videos — click here!
